Summary of misc:
Join us for the Fuel Poverty Research Network’s 7th event in Cardiff.

Full description of misc:
Our 7th event will be delivered in partnership with Cardiff University, and will take place on Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th November. Expect a great line up of speakers, including leading academics in the field, the VCS and Welsh Government, interactive sessions, and exciting announcements about our future plans. More information, including a draft program is on the FPRN website.

The Fuel Poverty Research Network (FPRN) was established in 2015 by researchers who wanted to promote closer links between the producers and users of fuel poverty related research and intelligence (including all aspects of the interactions between people, homes and energy) to foster greater collaboration and impact. Now in its fourth year, the Network boasts an international membership of more than 200 people working across academia, policy and practice.

How do I book? Please book via the University of Salford website Event fee is £30 and includes lunch on both days and refreshments. Details of local accommodation, although not covered by the fee, will be shared shortly.

Is there any funding available to cover costs? With the kind support of the Eaga Charitable Trust, we are able to offer a number of bursaries to early-career researchers and practitioners to enable attendance at the event in Cardiff. The bursaries of up to £150 can be used to help with travel and accommodation costs and conference fees. Bursaries are available to anyone within the first 10 years of their professional or academic career. If this applies to you, please complete the attached application form if interested and email this to Aimee Ambrose (a.ambrose@shu.ac.uk) by Friday 11th October at the latest.

How can I get involved? We are again inviting those working in the field to share their work in a short 5-minute ‘lightening’ presentation, followed by a panel discussion. You can express your interest by emailing a 150 words abstract to Aimee Ambrose (a.ambrose@shu.ac.uk). The deadline for expressions of interest for lightening talks is Friday 11th October.

We looking forward to seeing you in Cardiff in September.

Any queries about the Network or the event, please feel free to contact us at fprncommittee@gmail.com

Best wishes from the FPRN Committee,

Aimee Ambrose, Rob Marchand, Graeme Sherriff, Danielle Butler, William Baker and Jenny Brierley
