Nottingham CC Launches Not-For-Profit Energy Company

Nottingham City Council has set up the first local authority-owned not-for-profit energy company since the market was nationalised in 1948.
The company, known as Robin Hood Energy, employs 30 staff and uses energy generated from the city’s incinerator, solar panels and waste food plants, as well as buying in gas and electricity.
