On 11 October 2017, NHS Employers in partnership with the Sustainable Development Unit (SDU) launched a new Sustainable Health and Care Campaign for the NHS, public health and social care.
The campaign aims to support NHS, local authority, public health and social care organisations to reduce their environmental impacts, whilst boosting health and saving money.
There will be five free regional events starting in spring 2018, as well as a website with a host of resources and tools – and later in the year an awards programme and conference.
There will also be an awareness week in June to encourage activity at a local level as well as awards programme, conference and a host of online resources and tools.
The SDU are encouraging people to find out more by signing up to the campaign newsletter and following it on Twitter @SustHealthCare
