On 29 March 2017, the Electricity and Gas (Energy Company Obligation) (Amendment) Order 2017 came into force, extending the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) until September 2018 and introducing a number of changes to the scheme rules commencing on 1 April 2017.
This 18 month period, known as ECO2t, marks the transitional period between ECO2, which ran from April 2015, and the expected introduction of a longer-term ECO3 scheme.
