New NIA Communication for LAs and HAs

In response to requests from LAs and HAs, the National Insulation Association (NIA) is to introduce a new electronic communication targeted at LAs and HAs.

The new Communication will be used to provide regular updates to key personnel on the insulation industry and NIA activities including technical bulletins. NIA would therefore like to create a database of key personnel in LAs and HAs who would like to opt in to receive the communication.

The NIA has seen a rapid growth in EWI company membership this year and now has some 20 EWI manufacturers/system designers, over 50 EWI contractors including the major national players and the major fixing suppliers. As such NIA is therefore now the leading trade association in the UK and we estimate that our members represent over 80% of the EWI market.

We have a very strong Technical Committee at NIA comprising EWI Technical Directors from leading manufacturers, system suppliers, contractors and fixing suppliers who were responsible for developing the new industry specifications and BPGs for PAS2030;2017 and is now working on new BPGs for design details and maintenance.

Therefore if you have any technical queries in relation to EWI please let me know at any time and our committee will provide a response.

In addition, we offer a FREE expressions of interest service whereby we will issue ROIs and tender requests from specifiers including Local Authorities to our members. Using an NIA member provides added peace of mind as they are governed by our Code of Professional Practice and Complaints Procedures.
