There is a huge amount of work undertaken by Local authorities in delivering Government funded schemes. The aim of this survey is to understand and collate information in order to showcase this at the next ALEO Conference and share with BEIS and other partner organisations. It would be great if you have any photographs or client feedback to provide evidence but this is not mandatory.

Another key reason for asking for your support in responding to this survey is to help shape future policy development by supporting BEIS to understand how their policy is delivered locally and the challenges/opportunities that this might provide for Local Authorities.

We do not require reams of writing - it would be best if you could be as short and succinct as possible. There are three main questions:
1. What did you achieve
2. What challenges you faced and how you overcame them
3. What support from BEIS/ALEO/other organisations would have helped during the project

Please note that by submitting this form you are giving permission to include the information in future Conferences and newsletters - it would be great if you were able to present it in person if selected, but this is not obligatory.

The National Executive would like to thank you in advance for your support in this task and hope you will be able to oblige - there is so much good work that goes unnoticed that it would be great to have some positive stories. If you have been hindered in your work that is good to know as well so we can feed back to the relevant organisations.

We know that some of the schemes mentioned will be in the very early stages but hope to use this method of collation going forward to build a bank of good work and learning experiences to share with BEIS and all ALEO members.

BEIS have produced a short survey for Local Authorities to get a better understanding of what impact Covid-19 has had in respect of the delivery chain. The survey is open until mid June. It should take no more than a couple of minutes at most to complete. The results will help to feed into some of the Covid-19 related work BEIS are doing.

ALEO have worked with BEIS to co-produce a survey which can be found at: https://forms.office.com/Pages/Response ... OTE3NC4u

The outcomes from this survey are:
1.To ascertain the extent to which the Simple Energy Advice Service is being used by Local Authorities
2.To gather information regarding how many Local Authorities have/have not got a Local Energy Officer in place
3.To find out how ALEO can support members in their work

The closing date for the survey is: 14th April, 2020. Please complete if you are able to – we understand that many of you will be working in different roles during this challenging time.

Surveys • Cold Homes Toolkit Evaluation - deadline 26 March 2020

In January 2018, Cornwall Council and Citizens Advice, with funding from the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, produced the following toolkits:
•The 'Local Authority Toolkit: Supporting Fuel Poor and Vulnerable Households' to help local authorities, health and third sector partners to work together to reduce fuel poverty in their localities.
•The ‘Building cold homes referrals with the health sector toolkit’ to provide guidance on developing cold homes referrals in partnership with the health sector, so that health professionals are able to identify and refer patients who are vulnerable to living in a cold home.

The surveys will remain open for four weeks and close on Thursday 26 March. Once you have started the survey you will need to complete it in the same sitting, as it is not possible to return to it at a later time. Please note that you will need to choose an option for the multiple choice questions in order to progress to the next page, but you are able to skip the open text questions if you feel it is appropriate to do so. The surveys takes around 10 minutes to complete - thank you for your time
